Memory is a fascinating and slippery subject; it’s illusiveness, selectiveness, links and triggers, blurs, layers and tangles. Memories are fluid and change as we revisit them- our imagination adapts and tweaks them to suit. And we filter them through our essential ability to forget, until we have a select curated collection which tell our life story. We are our memories. They are essentially what makes us who we are. And so the terrifying prospect of losing them, is the fear of losing our sense of self.
